President’s Message
The Karnataka Sangha has achieved a milestone in its ongoing journey by completing 50 years of dedicated service in the field of Education. It is time to salute the visionary efforts of our founders! The Sangha has established educational institutions which provide Education in Kannada and English at the primary and secondary levels at the Schools.
For the past two decades, the Sangha extended its vision and concentrated on Higher Education. The establishment of a Degree College was followed by the Junior College and self-financing courses like BMS, BAF, BBI, MCom (Advanced Accountancy) and PhD (Business Economics). We have been concentrating our energies on all levels of Education. Presently, we will initiate quality measures in Education.
While educational institutions have always concentrated on the physical and intellectual aspects of Education, the Sangha will also channelize its energies towards the mental and spiritual aspects of Education. We have established the Golden Jubilee Education Fund to bridge the gap between the haves and have-nots and aim to collect a corpus fund of One Crore. In view of the era of e-governance, we, at the Sangha, have embraced digitization as our mantra. We are also networking with the parents to assist us in the all-round development of our learners. We will continue to link the goals of Karnataka Sangha with that of our nation.
According to The World Health Organization, India, which has highlighted the current epidemic in Education, the rate of suicides among the youth in the age-group of 15-29 years is escalating at an alarming rate. The need of the hour, according to the WHO, is to reach out with ‘life skills training and counseling in schools and colleges, workplace stress management and suicide prevention services’. In keeping with their suggestion and with a view to fulfilling the national goals, the Sangha will initiate preventive measures to handle this epidemic by providing counseling and mentoring to the learners.
We humbly request our founder-members, trustees, well-wishers, patrons, parents, teachers and local leaders to express their solidarity in our efforts to strengthen the youth. We offer our humble prayers to Lord Manjunatha to give us the strength and perseverance to work towards the holistic development of the current generation of global Indians by boosting their mental and spiritual health.
With warm regards.
